This colorful event was organized at Masjid Noor ul Huda that has been the venue of many interfaith programs in the past.
PICNA Hosts Faith Leaders PICNA held an open house at a local mosque in Columbia, SC, on Friday - February 10, 2012, to host faith leaders as part of celebrations of the World Interfaith Harmony Week declared by the UN. This colorful event was organized at Masjid Noor ul Huda that has been the venue of many interfaith programs in the past. Leaders from a variety of faiths were welcomed by their Muslim hosts. A number of guests observed while a group of Muslims performed the ‘Asr’ (late afternoon) prayer that was followed by an introductory program on Islam. Chaudhry Sadiq, President, PICNA, moderated the session that was addressed by Imam Mohammad Bashir and Imam Omar Shaheed. At the end of the session, Dr. Carl Evans, Chair, IPSC – Interfaith Partners of South Carolina, presented his remarks. The program concluded with informal discussions as audience members and speakers interacted in a friendly environment while enjoying a variety of refreshments.
